  In Naomi Wolf's latest book, "The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot", she poses the similarities between our society and societies in the past that have shifted toward fascism.  It is worth noting that recently our government has nationalized several financial institutions, by paying for it with our money.  They nationalized the cost anyway, the benefits probably will be exclusive. John Perkins

Probably the best piece of literature I have read recently was John Perkins book, 'Confessions of an Economic Hitman.' While at times it reads like a James Bond novel, it is definitely quite revealing and informative. In reading his 'confession' you are allowed to see within the construct of the machinery that truly turns the cogs of our modern society. There is no reason for anyone else to share this information with you, and in fact, it would be career suicide. Perkins himself wrestled with the possible consequences of his confession, including the fear of loosing his or worse, his families' lives. He was a front liner in the new shadow empire. One that knows no borders, & no national allegiance.
In pursuit of what they feel is a more robust and equitable world community, our leaders have saw fit to create entities and spheres of influence such as the World Trade Organization, the International Monetary Fund, NATO, NAFTA, etc. in order to 'help' these countries to achieve their maximum earnings potential. Unfortunately this system is fraught with problematic self-interests that for the most part, with some exceptions, take advantage of the countries that they claim to be helping.

  In this video clip, Perkins speaks before the Veterans for Peace National Convention.  I strongly urge you to watch both videos, and to take stock in your contribution to our system.  We are not impotent in this republic, our breath is the wind in the sails of our progress.  When we remain silent, we go nowhere.

The Stolen Elections

Here it is!

What Greg Palast had uncovered here was absolutely sickening. Not only does he discover the trick behind Bush's stolen election in 2000 and 2004, but it ends up being through racist means. Caging lists of "suspect voters" in florida end up getting thousands of votes uncounted, 95% of these challenged votes where from black precincts. To cage votes according to race is a felony. 
This brought democrats to ask for provisional ballots, which was how Rove and the other evil doers were able to eliminate votes in 2004. The votes of Black, Hispanic, and Native American service men and women where among the disproportionate majority of minority voters that had their votes thrown out.

Greg Palast is one of the finest journalists of our time. He actually investigates! Novel, right? Along with this investigation into the Bush family and their interests, he also did an incredible investigation into the 2000 & 2004 elections that he only touches on briefly in this movie. I'll see if I can find and post that video as well. Follow the money. It is the source of all evil.
